JONESVILLE— A Saturday night shooting left one Jonesville teen dead.

Juwan Jones, 16, died from gunshot wounds in a shooting that occurred at approximately 10 p.m.

Catahoula Parish sheriff-elect James Kelly said Donrick L. Washington, 19, 27617 Louisiana 15, was arrested on charges of second-degree murder in Concordia Parish in relation to the shooting.

While the actual shooting happened in Jonesville, Washington allegedly left the scene and was headed toward Ferriday when he was arrested Kelly said.

The shooting is believed to have happened at a party or some type of gathering.

Kelly said while several witnesses were present accounts on exactly what happened vary.

On Sunday afternoon there was no known reason for the shooting Kelly said.
