NEW ORLEANS — Services for Howard John Harris Jr., 70, of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Corpus Christi Epiphany Church in New Orleans.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in New Orleans under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Harris was born June 7, 1941, in New Orleans, the son of Howard Sr. and Myrtle James Harris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Edwin Jerell Harris; and four brothers, Leonard Harris, Ronald Harris, Kenneth Harris and Jimmy Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Harris; five daughters, Lorna Harris of Douglasville, Ga., Lisa Hayes and husband, Adolph, Linda Wilson and husband, Tyron, all of Natchez, Lillie Lindsey of New Orleans and Anika Lindsey of Lexington; two sisters, Ann Alexander of New Orleans and Jane Brown of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Henry Harris, Clifford Harris and Ray Harris, all of New Orleans; one aunt, Gladys; one sister-in-law, Bert; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
