NATCHEZ — Metro Narcotics officers arrested five men Monday night reportedly known as drug dealers in Adams County.

Officers seized approximately $2,000 worth of cocaine during the arrests, Metro Commander Cliff Cox said.

And more arrests are coming.

“We are going to have numerous other people that are going to be arrested on other charges too that weren’t present Monday night,” Cox said. “This is an ongoing investigation.”

Cox said arrest warrants have already been filed on several others.

The five men were arrested on D’Evereux Drive, close enough to Bibleway Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Faith on Old Washington Road to be charged with possession or sale of drugs in a church zone, a more severe offense.

Arrested were:

4Richard Hudnall, 41, 30-A Hillcrest Road and James Kenneth Green, 43, 11 Magnolia Road, both on charges of sale of a controlled substance, schedule II in a church zone.

4Alvin Frisby, 54, 1976 Cannonsburg Road, on charges of sale of a controlled substance, schedule II in a church zone and possession with intent to distribute cocaine in a church zone.

4Kazeric Dozell Prater, 24, 100 Lincoln Heights Road, Ferriday, and Frederick Lyles, 67, 159 B. Wickliff Road, both on charges of acting in concert with possession with intent to sell controlled substance, schedule II in a church zone.

Controlled substance schedule II is cocaine. Bond for each of the five was set at approximately $20,000 per felony charge Tuesday, Cox said.

Thomas Lee Oliver, 20, 2801 Roselawn Drive, was arrested Tuesday on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $1,000, but he is also on probation from Concordia Parish and will have to answer to those charges as well.
