FERRIDAY — A 25-year-old man was arrested in Ferriday Saturday in connection with last week’s robbery in which three men were robbed, shot at and one of them beaten.
Tyrone Anderson, 25, 215 S. Sixth St., was arrested on charges of aggravated second-degree battery, three counts aggravated assault with a firearm and three counts of armed robbery.
Ferriday police responded to a midnight call April 1 at the Concordia Apartments, 200 Kyle Road, where a gunpoint robbery of a car had taken place.
Anderson was identified as the suspect, and was charged with aggravated second-degree battery because he allegedly pistol-whipped one of the victims, Police Chief Richard Madison said.
Anderson was charged with aggravated assault because he allegedly fired four shots at the car when the driver tried to evade him, Madison said.
Anderson is currently being detained without bond.
