VIDALIA — A Concordia Parish prisoner was arrested Monday after he allegedly left a work release job without permission.

Allen P. Gilmore, 37, 1310 Constitution Drive, Slidell, was arrested and booked on charges of simple escape Monday.

Gilmore allegedly left a Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office work release job site with an unauthorized person, CPSO Public Information Officer Kathleen Stevens said.

The work release program was notified, and Gilmore was arrested, charged and transferred to the Department of Corrections facility, Stevens said.
