NATCHEZ — Four familiar faces will fill the Adams County chancery and circuit court judge’s seats after the fall election.
Judges George Ward and Vincent Davis were the only candidates to qualify for the chancery court seats. Judges Forrest “Al” Johnson and Lillie Blackmon Sanders were the only candidates who qualified for the two circuit court seats.
Qualification ended May 7. The general election will be on Nov. 2.
Ward has served as chancery court judge since 1999. Johnson and Sanders have both served in their positions since 1995. Davis was sworn in during December, filling the seat left vacant when Judge Kennie Middleton died.
This article in Wednesday’s paper incorrectly listed the general election date and omitted a chancery court judge. We regret the error and are happy to set the record straight.
