MEADVILLE — Services for Lovie B. Jones, 85, of Meadville, who died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Moak and the Rev. Millard Moak officiating.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Mr. Jones was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Franklin County, the son of Robert Jones and Lela Lee Jones. He was retired from International Paper Company.

Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church of Bude and a member of the John A. Galbreath Lodge No. 0334 for 62 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Smith Jones; four sons, James R. Jones and wife, Irene, of Prairieville, La., William B. Jones and wife, Teresa, of Hixson, Tenn., John M. Jones and wife, Debbie, of Caseyville and Ronnie E. Jones and wife, Kelli, of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Florine Miller and husband, Wayne, of Canton, Robertine Jones of Jackson and Ora Lee Hester and husband, Tommy, of Pearl ; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Michael Jones, Chris Jones, Jeffery Jones, Danny Street, Rod Riley and Pat Larkin.

Honorary pallbearer will be David Ray.
