Come boil ’em with Cathedral Saturday
Published 1:27 am Thursday, May 8, 2008
The wait is over. We will be boiling them live and giving away cash at the 24th Annual Cathedral Crawfish Countdown this Saturday starting at 6 p.m. in the Cathedral School Cafeteria.
The formula is simple — 2,000 pounds of spicy crawfish, corn, potatoes, homemade deserts, ice cold beverages, Sanguinetti’s awesome jambalaya, add some tunes played by Bobby D., throw in a couple hundred friends, and top it off with a chance to win $5,000.
For a $100 ticket, a couple can enjoy all of this delicious food and drink, dance the night away and have a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000.
Walt Brown and Kenneth Stubbs will lead the countdown to separate the winners from the losers. Although we have only one grand prize, there are many chances to win great prizes donated by GoMart, T.G. McCary Photography, Katie’s Ladies, Natchez Gourmet and Monmouth Plantation as well as cash.
We would love to invite everyone to join us. This much-anticipated spicy tradition promises a fun-filled evening of great food, entertainment and the chance to take home some serious cash and prizes. This legendary event has become one of the best-loved and most fun filled evenings sponsored at Cathedral School.
