NATCHEZ — The man who was arrested for reportedly shooting at an occupied dwelling Saturday night has now been connected to another shooting on May 4.
Walter Jerome Washington, 22, 220 Oakland Drive, allegedly was driving down Dumas Drive on May 10, when he pulled over and fired several shots at the house on 105 Dumas Drive, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
He was arrested and charged with shooting at an occupied dwelling.
“We searched the house and found the handgun used during the shooting,” Mullins said. “From that arrest, we were able to develop more information.”
Mullins said Washington was charged with aggravated assault from a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of North Rankin on May 4.
Washington was allegedly shooting at another individual.
“Both incidents relate to a fight that had occurred previously in a night club,” Mullins said.
Washington will be held without bond until arraignment on both charges.
