School will soon be out and moms, dads and kids will be enjoying the good ole summer time together and while I don’t want to rush your summer into fall, it will come around sooner than you think.
Instead of summer breezes and leisure time, it will be the hustle bustle of returning to school in the fall and enjoying the colors of autumn leaves, pumpkins on the vine and cool fall evenings. So in between ball games, tennis, golfing, swimming and just hanging out and enjoying all that leisure time, I want you moms and dads to think about how great it would be to have $2,000 to add to your child’s college tuition account, when he or she returns to school in the fall.
The Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District, a member of the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts, is announcing its annual call for four $2,000 scholarships to be awarded in January 2009 and the deadline for submitting an application is Oct. 1. Sophomores, juniors and seniors in college may apply.
Come by the Adams County Soil and Water Conservation office to pick up an application, we are located at 110 Northgate Road, Suite C, Natchez.
