WOW conference today at Word of Faith Ambassador Worship Center in Natchez

Natchez — The 2008 WOW annual conference will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. today at Word of Faith Ambassador Worship Center in Natchez.
The conference is titled “Having the Mind of God.”
The special guest is the Rev. Thelma Slayton of The Repairer’s Church Family Worship Center in Houston. Slayton is a native of Louisiana and a graduate of Rosenwald High School. She is the daughter of Willie and Betty Lawrence. She furthered her education at Houston Community College, Texas Southern University and the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas.
She became a licensed minister in December 1987 and was ordained in 2000. She is also a certified Christian counselor through RAPHA.
Slayton currently resides in Houston, with her husband the Rev. Clifton Slayton. They have two children, one son Graylon, a daughter Stacie and two granddaughters Galen and Casey.
The Slaytons are the founders and senior pastors of The Repairer’s Church Family Worship Center of Houston. The church was founded in 1988.
