NATCHEZ — Services for William Leon “Bill” Emrick, 87, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rod Lowery, minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Emrick was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Union Church, the son of Arthur Clarence Emrick Sr. and Edna Gary Emrick. He was a retired machinist for John-Manville. Mr. Emrick was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He and his wife, Nelda, would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 3, 2011. He was an RVer and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Mr. Emrick was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Arthur Clarence Emrick Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda Lofton Emrick; two daughters, Brenda Nell Parker and husband, Phillip, of Senatobia and Donna Kay Middleton and husband, Tim, of Laurel; four grandchildren, Lindsay Middleton and Tyler Middleton and wife, Annette, all of Laurel, Anna Parker Haskins and husband, James, of Montgomery, Ala., and Brian William Parker of Senatobia.
Pallbearers will be Phillip W. Parker, Timothy Middleton, Brian Parker, Tyler Middleton, Earnie Davis and Bill Holland.
