JONESVILLE — Services for Albert Ray Hale, 76, of Jonesville, who was taken by an angel to his heavenly home Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church in Jonesville with the Rev. Jimmy Masters, the Rev. Pastor Joel Ford and the Rev. Billy Hale officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church, with a Homegoing Service from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Hale was born July 9, 1935, in Waterproof, the son of Earl T. Hale and Opal Trevillion Hale.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kevin Hale and granddaughter, Kirsten Hale.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Ewing Hale; four of his children, Debbie Pierce and husband, Doug of Little Rock, Gwenda Whisler and her husband, the Rev. Steve Whisler of McKinney, Texas, Delan Hale and wife, Paula of Franklinton, La., and Marcus Hale and wife, Twanna of Mt. Herman, La.; three brothers, Lester Hale of Baton Rouge, the Rev. Billy Hale of Denver and Thomas Hale of Waterproff; one sister, Earlene Austin of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren who dearly loved him, Brent Pierce, Brad Pierce, Brittany Whisler, Caleb Whisler, Hunter Hale, Alexis Hale and Kenzie Hale and four great-grandchildren, Maddox Pierce, Addison Pierce, Luke Pierce and Sophia Clark.

Pallbearers are Brent Pierce, Brad Pierce, Caleb Whisler, Hunter Hale, Wayne Patten and David Rose.

Honorary pallbearers are Edward Lawson, Michael Ewing, Al Griffin, the Rev. David McKeithen, Charles Wascom and Wallace Morace.
