Natchezian named to state housing group

NATCHEZ — Alan Ingram, executive director of the Natchez Housing Authority, was recently named president of the Mississippi Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials on Aug. 12 for a two-year term at the MAHRO Annual Conference at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Biloxi. A total of 360 members were present at the presenation, at which time the members unanimously accepted Ingram’s nomination.

Ingram has previously been serving for six years on the MAHRO Board of Directors, with the past two years having served as senior vice president.

MAHRO represents and serves all 54 public and regional housing authorities in Mississippi, and has been in existence for 67 years. Ingram is the first president of MAHRO from Natchez.

“I, along with the MAHRO board, will represent our state’s housing authorities on state, regional and national issues that affect public and subsidized housing administered by the housing authorities,” Ingram said.
