NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Cheers, New Orleans. You’ve been named “America’s Most Sparkling City” by yellow tail wines.
The designation, announced with a bubble machine in front of St. Louis Cathedral on Tuesday, coincides with the company’s launch of sparkling wine. It follows an online survey in which people were asked to pick from a list of ten the city they thought had the greatest energy or vibe.
City Council President Jackie Clarkson called the designation a “perfect honor” for the city. She said that for all the things going for the city — including its music, food, festivals and history — it’s the people that, in her opinion, make the city the most sparkling.
The designation came with an award, an ice bucket trophy.
