Angels, theatre top week’s news

As the temperatures soar around us, so do our expectations of great things to come in the Miss-Lou.
But before we look too far into the future, let’s remember the immediate past. Last week brought plenty of good news to the area.
The Vidalia Little Angels softball team defeated a team they weren’t qualified to play recently. The group of 10-year-old girls played in the 12-year-old division when other 10s dropped out of the state title round.
The Vidalia girls came home with the state championship trophy and a spot in the World Series.
The Natchez Little Theatre presented a full slate of awards to its performers and volunteers Saturday night at the Stan Dean Ovations Awards. Lynn Mann, Tommy Jackson and the cast of “Grease” took top honors, among others. Little Theatre has always been one of the top community organizations, and we are lucky to have such an outlet that reaches so many people.
Congratulations to all the Stan Dean winners. We are excited about a new season of top-notch entertainment.
A new week in the Miss-Lou means more great news, and we can’t wait to see exactly what the week may bring.
