NATCHEZ — The accounting firm of Silas Simmons, LLP has announced that Erin Ernst Evans has joined their professional staff.

A native of Natchez, Evans graduated with honors in 1996 from Natchez High School, and graduated from Copiah Lincoln Community College in December 2005 with an associate’s degree in accounting.

Evans continued her studies at Alcorn State University, graduating in May 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Working to put herself through school, Evans was the store manager for the Fun Tunnel at the Natchez Mall from 2000 to 2005.

She is the daughter of Joe and Gladys Ernst of Natchez and Martha Freeman of Vidalia, and is the proud mother of a daughter, Jillian Corrin Evans.
