Educate yourself on the issues

In just over three months America’s greatest feat will occur — again.
On Nov. 4, we’ll select our next leader in a single day — and if history is an indication of the future — without bloodshed and without great turmoil.
Barring some national surprise either Democrat Barack Obama or Republican John McCain will become our next leader.
And for millions of Americans, figuring out which man is the best choice will be difficult.
A voter cannot simply judge the candidates based on the way they look or how well they speak.
The true determination of which candidate is the best choice will come through becoming involved in the process.
Voters should read everything about the candidate that they can. They should learn where the candidates truly stand on the issues.
Don’t take a friend’s word for it.
Don’t take your husband or wife’s opinion as your own.
And don’t take your preacher’s decision as the correct, divinely inspired answer, either.
Make up your own mind.
Only by becoming educated on the candidates and where they stand on the issues that are important to you and your family can you make an informed decision on Nov. 4.
The clock is ticking so get started educating yourself today.
