JACKSON (AP) — Jackson Police say a man was fatally shot by a convenience store clerk after he allegedly stole a case of beer.

The unidentified man was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center Sunday night, where he later died.

Police say they are questioning the clerk. His name has not being released.
