Come hear some soul-stirring tunes

Give me that good ole time religion is a theme that is often forgotten and sorely missed.
While attending a wonderful church service at Holy Family Catholic Church this past Sunday, I heard a plea from the famous choir director Mr. Alvin Shelby. He plead a cause for the fundraiser, the second annual back to school concert.
The concert will feature the Holy Family Gospel Choir and The Undertakers along with the Washington Children. It will be at the church at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29. Tickets are $10.
Many events take up precious time in our lives, but let me be the first to say this is one of those rare opportunities that will bring joy to your listening ears. First of all, these people have soul and their songs, style and remarkable talent is a well kept secret.
I have personally taken on the task of buying as many tickets as I can sell. But you should come and see for yourself how much the spirit of musical songs lift you to a place that is from heaven.
Please support Holy Family and purchase your tickets at the following outlets, Darby’s on Main Street, United Mississippi Bank on Commerce Street and the Holy Family school office on Franklin Street.
Thanks for any support you can give.
