NATCHEZ — Services for Vera Lee Saul, 82, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at St. Dominic Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Sago officiating.

Burial will follow at Mercy Seat Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Saul was born May 6, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Leon and Rosie Lee Reynolds. She attended Brumfield High School. She was retired from Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital as a dietary aid. She was a member of the Mother Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Saul; seven siblings; and one grandson.

Survivors include five daughters, Arean Battle of Chicago, Mary Green and Ned King, both of Natchez, Linda Williams and husband, Ira, Verna Coleman and husband, elder Henry Coleman, all of Jackson, and Debra Saul of Torrance, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Lee Johnson and husband, Isaac, and Virginia Rounds, all of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be M.L. Good Jr., Cedrick Gooseberry, William Saul, Jamal Shannon, Clarence Harris Jr. and Carwin Bingham.
