Woodville — WCCA will sponsor the “Be A Hero” blood drive at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 4 in the cafeteria. The goal for this drive is 40 units. Everyone is encouraged to send in the donor participant sheet and give blood if possible. Seniors that donate blood two times during the school year will be honored at graduation. New guidelines allow some 16-year-old students to donate blood if they qualify. Parents can call the office if they have questions.
The 2008 kindergarten class has six girls and 10 boys. WCCA interviewed kindergartener Emily Sessions.
“I love school and my classmates,” she said.
She learned how to say her vowels and write her numbers. She said she loves her teachers, Beverly Crawford and Timi Polan.
She also explained that green sticks mean you are good in class and yellow sticks are a warning. Emily only has one warning.
Balfour will be at WCCA to deliver the junior class rings on Sept 10.
