NATCHEZ — The Isle of Capri casino closed Sunday afternoon due to Hurricane Gustav.

The casino received an order to close from the Mississippi Gaming Commission.

Isle of Capri Vice President and General Manager Tony Scudiero said he does not know when the casino will reopen.

“It’s a wait and see type thing,” he said. “There’s no telling what this crazy thing is going to do.”

He said what’s most important is safety of the casino’s employees and guests.

“That’s the main thing that people are safe,” Scudiero said.
