Man complains to police about not getting crack

FERRIDAY — When a drug transaction didn’t go the way a buyer wanted, he did the right thing — he told the police.
An unidentified complainant told police that he had gone to the 700 block of Fifth Street to buy some crack, but after he gave the seller $20, the seller did not give him the drugs, Assistant Police Chief Johnny Evans said.
“They gave their $20, but they didn’t get any crack,” Evans said.
The complaint was originally logged as a robbery, but is now considered a simple theft, Evans said.
