Ms. Ellen Gaines and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Walls, all of Port Gibson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tomerka Gaines to Earl Scott, son of Mrs. Thelma Clark of Natchez and the late Raymond Williams of New Orleans.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Port Gibson High School and a graduate of Pro-Care Nursing School in Vicksburg.

She is the granddaughter of Bertha M. Gaines and the late Inez Walls, both of Port Gibson.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans. He is employed by Ed’s Painting Company in Jonesville.

He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Fannie Evans of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Shrine Club on Morgantown Road in Natchez.
