NRMC nurse passes infection control exam

Natchez — Kim McDaniel, RN, infection control and employee health coordinator at Natchez Regional Medical Center, recently became certified by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc.

The mission of CBIC is to improve the quality of healthcare by increasing the number of professionals whose knowledge and mastery in infection control and applied epidemiology has been demonstrated by certification.

“Kim’s certification represents her commitment to professional growth in the field of infection prevention and control by keeping her knowledge and skills current to better our hospital’s infection control function and its success,” Scott Phillips, CEO, Natchez Regional Medical Center said.

“We are extremely proud of her accomplishment and value her contributions to our hospital,” Lana Morgan, VP, director of nursing at Natchez Regional said.

Through McDaniel’s study and hard work, she now has an internationally recognized level of knowledge in the infection control field.

Natchez Regional is also fortunate to have two certified infection control professionals.

Lana Morgan has been certified for nearly ten years.
