WANTED: Three persons sought related to 2019 murder

NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff’s Office is seeking three individuals who are now wanted for charges related to the murder of Scottie Rodgers on Oct. 4, 2019.
Zakya Jones, 23, is wanted for accessory before the fact of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. Edaniel Jones, 24, and Javontae Davis, 23, are both wanted for accessory after the fact of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
All of these individuals should be considered armed and dangerous, according to ACSO.
Anyone with information regarding the location of these individuals should call 911 or contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 601-442-2752.
Rodgers and a female victim reportedly drove themselves to Merit Health Natchez with gunshot wounds at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, then Natchez Police Chief Walter Armstrong had said.
The shooting was believed to have occurred earlier that night in the vicinity of Fraiser Street in Natchez. Armstrong had said “drugs were involved” in the ordeal.
Initially Jeremiyah Clark and Jalin Johnson, who were 18 and 17 years old at the time, were charged with murdering Scottie Rodgers and with aggravated assault. However, the charges against them were later dismissed.
District Attorney Tim Cotton said after dismissing the charges that others were involved who played major roles in the case.
