Patsy was born on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1947, in Natchez, and passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, in Vidalia, surrounded by her family. She was the sweetest lady you have ever met, always greeting everyone with a warm smile that could brighten any day. Patsy dedicated over 30 years of her life to the Adams County Chancery Clerk’s Office, where she was known for her kindness and unwavering work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in cooking and lovingly preparing meals for her family. She took great pride in caring for her loved ones, always putting them first. Of her hobbies, her favorite was spending time and being entertained by her grandchildren. Her green thumb was evident in the beautiful gardens she nurtured, a reflection of her gentle and caring spirit. Patsy’s love, warmth, and generosity touched all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her sweet smile and loving nature will never be forgotten.

She is reunited with her husband of 50 plus years, Dewey “Red” Bryant; father, Chauncey Cavin Sr.; brother, CP Cavin Jr., and niece, Jessie Mae Donaldson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brittany LeAnn Cross, and husband, TJ of Vidalia; mother, Nannie Dickson of Natchez; three grandchildren, Jessa Maeley Cross, Maddix Michael Breaud, and Brayden Edward Cross; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Those honoring her as pallbearers will be Robbie Buckles Jr., Trey Buckles, George Ashley, Christopher Halford, Perry “Auggie” Michael, and Harvey Bryant Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Captain Craig Godbold and Robert Lewis.
