NATCHEZ  – United Mississippi Bank, based in Natchez and Concordia Parish, Louisiana, opened three branches acquired from BankPlus on Monday.

At this time, UMB took ownership of the physical branch locations, the deposit relationships, and the CD loan relationships.

The three branches that transitioned to UMB ownership are in New Roads, Louisiana; Eunice, Louisiana; and Port Gibson.

Bank officials said the purchase aligns with UMB’s strategic plan to grow its presence in South Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi, enabling UMB to reach a wider range of customers with its legacy of community-focused products and services while maintaining the personalized approach that has been a hallmark of the bank since its inception.

The three branches will continue to operate under their current schedules with the same friendly employees serving their customers’ needs. The purchase will increase the number of UMB branches to 12, expanding customer access in the South Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi for existing customers.
