VIDALIA – Glenn Mizell peacefully departed this earthly life on Jan. 15, at his residence surrounded by family, after a very short illness, at 75 years old.

Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 20 at First Baptist Church, Vidalia at noon, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time under the direction of Laird Funeral Home with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Officiating will be Brad Watson and Bart Walker.

He was born in Natchez, on Sept. 25, 1949. He owned and worked at Mizell’s Auto Clinic until he went to work for the city of Natchez as an automobile mechanic until he retired in 2015. He also worked at Arthur’s Tire part-time for several of his retirement years.

Glenn was born again on May 21, 1996, and lived his life sharing the gospel and serving God in many different ways such as a foreign mission trip to Ecuador, Eight Days of Hope, and the Grief Share ministry. Glenn loved people and made fast friends his entire life. Glenn was an avid hunter, fisherman, calf roper, and a fisher of men.

He was preceded ln death by his parents, Colvin and Gertrude Mizell, Deborah Mizell and
grandson, Grayson Hodges.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; daughter, Amanda Hodges; stepsons, Nathan (Samantha)
Redfield, and Brian (Bonnie) Redfield; grandchildren, Reid Hodges, Cooper, Miles and
Ivy Redfield; and sister, Linda Garrett (Irvin).

Pallbearers will be Kenny Jackson, Bill Salters, Danny Richards, Tony Ballard, Ben Hodges, and Jerry Walker.

Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to the First Baptist Church Vidalia Building Fund
or Home of Grace.
