FERRIDAY, La. — On Wednesday, the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested one individual in connection to a homicide in the Lake Saint John area.

Authorities at CPSO responded to a domestic violence call at just after 7 a.m. Wednesday morning on Highway 569 in Ferriday. Shortly after Ryan Rhodes, 33, was taken into custody. He has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated battery.

Paramedics were called for the victim, who was later pronounced deceased. Authorities would not release the name of the victim as other family members were being notified.
