NATCHEZ — Natchez Police have arrested Treveyon Coach, 20, of Natchez, for the New Year’s Day homicide during a shootout on Dumas Drive in Marilyn Heights.

Killed was 21-year-old Jalen L. Green, who was shot in the chest area, said Adams County Coroner James Lee.

Natchez Police Chief Caroline Green would not provide details other than she expects more arrests to be made in the case.

Another person was injured during the shootout, which took place inside a residence on Dumas Drive at about 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 1.
