NATCHEZ — Supervisors appointed Kevin Wilson president of the Adams County Board of Supervisors for the second consecutive year at the board’s inaugural meeting of 2025 Monday morning.

In his second term, Wilson, a Natchez businessman and the state’s largest independent oil producer, represents the people of Adams County’s second district.

Supervisors typically take turns serving as president of the board. However, not since Supervisor Darryl Grennell in 2015, has a supervisor served consecutive terms as president of the board.

The president of the board conducts all county meetings, is the official signator for the county and the liaison between the Board of Supervisors and other community entities.

The motion to appoint Wilson to a second term, made by District 3 Supervisor Angela Hutchins, was seconded by District 1 Supervisor Wes Middleton. It passed unanimously. District 5 Supervisor Warren Gaines was absent from Monday’s meeting.

“Thank you, I think,” Wilson responded.

Middleton was appointed vice president of the board, a motion also made by Hutchins and seconded by District 4 Supervisor Ricky Gray. It was also unanimous.

Others were reappointed to their positions for another one-year term, including Scott Slover, county attorney; Stephanie Washington, county administrator; Robbie Dollar, county road manager; Chike Martin, county comptroller; Deneen Price, purchasing clerk; and George Ford, county engineer.
