CLAYTON – Funeral services for Lem Warren Washington, 44, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Clayton, LA, who passed on Dec. 29, 2024, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with Pastor Curtis Washington officiating. Burial will follow at the Clayton Garden of Rest Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at the Church.

Mr. Washington was born on Oct. 21, 1980, in Pineville, LA, the son of Lem Jones, Sr. and Carol Washington Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a deckhand for an offshore drilling company.

Warren leaves to cherish his loving memories to his loving wife, Melisha Poole Washington; three sons, Braylen Magee, both of Baker, LA, Lem Washington, Jr. and Jakalen Poole both of Ferriday; eleven siblings, Charles Washington of  Zachary, LA; Chandra Washington Thomas (Leron) of Baton Rouge; Christine Washington (Rodney) of Vidalia, Glenn Henderson (Sharon) and Wendell Jefferson both of Ferriday; Victor Henderson (Janice) of Arlington, TX; Warren Knight of  Wichita Falls, TX; Bobbie Jean Ward (Sydney) of Chicago, IL; Eileen Wallace (Bradford) of Killeen, TX; Jacquelyn Russ of Slidell, LA; Janet Whitlock; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and lifelong friends; a special acknowledgment to his Aunt Elouise Anderson of Clayton and all others Lem held near and dear to him.
