UNION CHURCH – Funeral services for Hazel Mae Lackland, 74, of Union Church, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, in Flowood, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at noon at Hickory Block United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Irving officiating.

Burial will follow at the Hickory Block United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home – Fayette Branch.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Fayette and will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Hazel was born on Oct. 7, 1950, the daughter of Helen Lowe and Willie Lowe, Sr. She was a member of the Hickory Block United Methodist Church in Union Church.

Hazel leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Victor T. Wyatt-Prater; daughter, Cynthia Smith; sisters, Nanette Lowe, Rebecca Henderson, and Mary Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
