NATCHEZ – Graveside service for Janice Johnson Richardson, 78, of Natchez, who died on Dec. 21, 2024, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at the Natchez City Cemetery at noon with Bro. Whest Shirley officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow.

Janice was born on Oct. 22, 1946, in Auburn, MS, to John Mark Johnson and Alma Geneva May Johnson. Janice was an LPN at Claiborne County Nursing Home for a number of years.

Janice was preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Robert Dwayne Richardson; one brother, Errol Johnson; and one sister, Sandra Johnson.

Janice is survived by her children, Michael (Sherry) Richardson of Ferriday, Errol Richardson of Ball, LA, Shannon (Greg) Brown of Natchez; siblings, Billy Ray (Genevieve) Johnson of Leesville, LA, and Valdine Powell of Natchez; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; her two dogs, Bella and Mia; her outdoor cats; and other friends.
