FRANKLIN COUNTY — A woman arrested for her husband’s murder on Friday, Dec. 13, had her bond reduced from $300,000 to $150,000.
Franklin County Justice Court Judge Larry Wallace reduced the bond of Kaci Woods following a bond reduction hearing Wednesday, Sheriff Tom Tindle confirmed.
Woods, 28, is charged with second-degree murder after her husband James Marshal Woods, 53, had been shot and killed at approximately 12:37 p.m. on Friday at his home in the area of Old Loop Road in Franklin County.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this case.
Kaci Woods has told authorities she acted in self-defense. However, Tindle said her charges from FCSO still stand and her case has been bound over to a grand jury.
Anyone who is arrested is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
