FAYETTE – Graveside services for Mary Katherine Hartley Taylor, 91, who died at Merit Health Natchez on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, will be held on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Fayette City Cemetery in Fayette.  Services will be under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor was born on Feb. 13, 1933, to George Hugh and Beulah Hartley in Hazlehurst, MS.  She graduated from Mississippi Southern College. She married Murdock Taylor, Jr. and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. She was employed as a home demonstration agent in Fayette for many years.

She was a member of the Fayette Garden Club and the Local Eastern Star. She was an active member of the Fayette Methodist Church. She especially enjoyed taking care of others and having friends and family call or stop by to tell her their news.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ruby and Mary Katherine (Kathy).
