2 arrested in connection with double murder

NATCHEZ — Two people were arrested today connection with a double homicide that occurred around midnight on Wednesday.

Natchez Police Department arrested Larry Griffin Jr., 33, and Nalonna Paul, 25, and charged each with two counts of accessory before the fact of murder and accessory before the fact of attempted murder, said Chief Cal Green.

She added that the investigation remains ongoing.

The shooting occurred in the area of Lewis Drive and Hope Lane.

The deceased victims have been identified as 39-year-old Keitra McDonald and 43-year-old Londell Williams.

Both died of multiple gunshot wounds after the vehicle they were riding in was sprayed with multiple gunshots. A third victim who was in the same vehicle with the deceased couple was injured by the shooting and transported to the hospital, Green said.

The victim was “alert and talking” after the incident, Green said, adding she didn’t think the injures were life threatening.
