DECATURVILLE, TN – Helen O. Porter, 75, of Decaturville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at her residence.

She was born March 30. 1949, in Kingstree, SC to the late Daniel W. and Helen Antionette Bath. She was a retired Surgical Nurse (RN). She enjoyed quilting and had made many for family, friends, and fund-raising events.

Helen is survived by her husband, Dan Porter, of Decaturville, TN; two daughters, Rebecca  Lea Idom, of Natchez, and Rachel Anne Beck, of Bon Aqua, TN; a son, David Michael (Sara Hill) Porter, of Natchez; two sisters, Annie (Jim) Boyette, of Moss Bluff, LA, and Carol (Ernie) Rogers, of McComb, MS; and a brother, Danny (Pat) Bath, of Clarksville, TN.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Drew Porter, Destiny Idom, and Paige Porter, all of Natchez, and Jenna Beck, of Bon Aqua, TN.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Bath and a sister, Ellen Gertrude Arnold, as well as, her parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Reed’s Chapel, Decaturville, TN, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, with Jimmy E. Carter, officiating.
