FERRIDAY – Celebration of life for Lilly-Anne Talene Bryan, 11, of Ferriday, will be held at the Pentecostals of the Miss Lou on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Howington and Rev. Gary Howington officiating. Interment will follow at Bryan Family Cemetery in Ferriday, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, from 5 until 9 p.m.

Lilly-Anne was born on Friday, May 10, 2013, in Natchez, and went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, in Houston, TX surrounded with loved ones. Lilly-Anne, an incredible 11-year-old, fought a courageous battle against cancer with unyielding strength and determination. Her resilience shone through as she spent time outside on the family farm, surrounded by the animals she loved. Whether riding horses, fishing, or hunting, Lilly-Anne embraced the joys of country life with a spirit full of adventure. Lilly-Anne was a vibrant girl who loved drawing and playing with slime. Her creativity flourished as she crafted colorful artwork and enjoyed the sensory fun, always bringing joy and laughter to others. Despite the hardships she faced, she never lost her love for life or her faith. Lilly-Anne cherished her time with the Pentecostals of the Miss Lou and adored her Sunday School class, where her heart for God and community flourished. After a day outdoors, she would dress up for church with a smile, proud to be part of a loving and supportive congregation. Lilly-Anne’s unwavering courage, love for nature, and deep faith will always be remembered by those who had the honor of knowing her.

She is reunited with her paternal grandparents, Annie Laura and Coney Bryan and Onolia and Claude Ellard, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Joel and Geneva Maples and William “Buddy” and Bessie Byrnes; great-aunt, Angie Stone; honorary uncle JJ, Jason Tyson; and her special friends from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Those left to cherish Lilly-Anne’s memories are her parents, Doyle “Joey” Bryan and Lacy Byrnes Bryan of Ferriday; brother, Tucker “Rat” Bryan of Ferriday; maternal grandparents, Donald “Donnie” Byrnes and Deborah “Sissy”  Brynes of Ferriday; paternal grandparents, Doyle Bryan and Bertha Bryan of Vidalia; aunt and uncle, Amy McElwee and Jeremy of Denham Springs, LA; cousins, Breanna Smith and her husband, Josh of Virginia, Oriana McElwee of Denham Springs, LA, AJ Smith of Virginia, Emery Smith of Virginia, and LJ Wilkinson; and extended family, friends, and church family.

Those honoring Lilly-Anne as pallbearers are Koen Tyson, Easton Anderson, Cash Myers, Levi Maples, Everett Maples, and Case Bryan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tucker Bryan, Hunter Maples, Joe Curtis, and Matt Bonsall.
