NATCHEZ – Memorial Services was held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel Natchez, from 6 until 8 p.m. for Elbert Green Jr. who passed away on Oct. 18, 2024, at Adams County Nursing Center in Natchez.

Elbert Green Jr., was born on Aug. 5, 1951, the son of the late Elbert Green Sr., and Rosie Marie Butler Green.

He was a 1971 graduate of South Natchez High School.

Elbert was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Sr. and Rosie Green; grandparents, Cora Bennett Birdie, Henry Butler, George and Julia Green, and step-grandfather, Willie Birdie; one son; Anthony Green; three brothers, Henry Earl Green, Louis Washington and Eric Green; one nephew, DeTorio Butler; sisters-in-law, Corrine Green, Ruthie Green; brothers-in-law, Willie Morris Sr., James Davis and Johnny Coleman, and godsister, Marie Conner.

He leaves to cherish his memory two beautiful children, Tyanna R. Green and Elbert Green, III; brothers, Richard Butler, Milton Green, Darnell (Debra) Green, and Michael Butler (Marilyn); sisters, Ida Davis, Inez Green (Louis), Delores Coleman, Caroline (Cal) Green, and Patricia Butler; god brother, Clarence Green; a special cousin that was like his brother, James Green, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
