NATCHEZ—A spokeswoman for Saratoga Casino Holdings said Tuesday morning that she could not give a firm date to reopen Magnolia Bluffs Casino. However, she said the casino is not permanently closed.
Amy Brannigan, director of marketing for the company, said the casino would reopen “very soon.”
“We are working hard to resolve the problems as quickly as possible and anticipate reopening our doors very soon to welcome back our guests,” she said.
The casino closed abruptly on the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 1, after what the casino owners called a computer glitch.
It turns out that Saratoga Casino Holdings suffered a company-wide computer system outage that affected all three of its casino properties: Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Black Hawk, Colorado, and Natchez.
The Saratoga Springs casino was the first to reopen, and Brannigan said the Black Hawk casino would reopen on Tuesday.
Brannigan said rumors prevalent on social media that the Natchez casino would not reopen are wrong.
“We are still working on some IT issues that need to be resolved before we can reopen Magnolia Bluffs Casino. Any rumors about our permanent closure are inaccurate,” she said.
