Ferriday police investigating shootings; juvenile injured

FERRIDAY, La. — A juvenile was injured while shots were fired Tuesday night in Ferriday.
A shooting in Ferriday that reportedly happened shortly before 8 p.m. near Adams No. 1 Grocery injured a juvenile who was shot in the back of their shoulder, officials said.
The juvenile was taken to Trinity Medical Center and from there air-lifted to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge while in stable condition.
Shots were also reportedly fired shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Greathouse Street, which is near Ferriday Hall.
These shootings remain under investigation. No arrests have been reported.
