NATCHEZ – Services for Charles Herbert “Hobo” Emfinger, 70, of Natchez who died on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, in Natchez will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County, MS under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Emfinger was born on Aug. 26, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Herbert Oliver “Hobo” Emfinger and Rona Averill.
Mr. Emfinger’s favorite things were God, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and Ole Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Windham.
Survivors include his son, Wesley Emfinger of Ashville, N.C.; daughter, Holli Morrison (Wayne) of Monroe, LA; granddaughter, Katie King (Steven) of Columbia, LA; grandson, Keaton Morrison of Monroe, LA; great-grandchildren, Krosslynn, Weldon, and Landon King of Columbia, LA; sister, Diane Emfinger of Oxford, MS; and companion and life partner, Susan Jester of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Emfinger, Wayne Morrison, Steve King, Brad Fondren, Greg Fondren, Rodney Burkley, and Chris Thompson.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Poole.
