NATCHEZ — Downtown Natchez businesses have been getting into the fall spirit with a little bit of a competitive edge as they showcased their creativity in Downtown Natchez Alliance’s Fall Storefront Decorating Contest.

A group of judges made their way to registered storefronts Wednesday evening to determine who had the best-decorated businesses to share the fall and Halloween spirit.

The first, second and third place winners received a surprise visit from Downtown Natchez Alliance Director Kevin Miers with a bunch of balloons and certificates for second and third place and a trophy for the first place winner.

First place award goes to The Gillon Group at 522 Main St., second place to Franklin Street Relics at 512 Franklin St. and third place to Shops at Kress at 122 N. Commerce St.
