Gilmore McLaurin Elementary School is closed Thursday, Oct 24, “due to unforeseen water issues,” school officials said.

An email sent to parents Wednesday states, “We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen water issues at McLaurin, we will cancel school for McLaurin tomorrow, Thursday, October 24. This decision is made to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

”We are working diligently to resolve the issue and anticipate that normal operations will resume on Friday, October 25th. We will update you via our robocall system, social media, and website. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.”
