Dr. Carolyn Myers of Seeds of Change Resource Foundation announced that she and volunteers would be giving out free apples today to those in need. Myers said she is returning to Natchez from Jackson today with five large pallets full of fresh apples to give away for free.
The giveaway starts at 4 p.m. today at the Adams County Safe Room at 323 Liberty Road.
“People who come will need to bring their own bag,” Myers said.
The apples will be divided up on a first-come-first-served basis.
Seeds of Change is a local nonprofit organization that has sponsored regular handouts of food, clothing and necessities.
