VIDALIA, La. — The Town of Vidalia’s regularly scheduled meeting will take place at 6 p.m. this evening at Vidalia Town Hall, 200 Vernon Stevens Blvd.

The Vidalia Mayor and Board of Aldermen have on its agenda the approval of occupational licenses for three businesses, including one new business.

Bayou Bliss Gifts & Candle LLC at 1108 Carter St., Suite 2, by Kristi Whitehead, is a retail operation for gifts, souvenirs, novelty items, candles and fragrance oils.

Bowman Daycare by Alma and Felicia Bowman is changing addresses to 603 Gregory St.

Hammers Drive Thru Vidalia LLC, a liquor store and drive-thru at 1511 Carter Street, is changing ownership, now owned by Harvinder Singh.

Perfect Nails by Tien Bui is requesting a new sign to be approved for its 709 Carter St. location.

The agenda of this meeting also lists for discussion whether to award a bid to APAC MS Inc. for roadway improvements.

The aldermen will also vote on whether to advertise surplus vehicles and equipment for sale and will discuss employee retention payments.

The Vidalia Police Department is requesting the hire of Joshua Brewer as a full-time patrol officer.

Lastly, Mayor Buz Craft will discuss various project updates for the town.
