NATCHEZ – Memorial services for Patsy Jane Brown, 86, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, in Natchez will be held at a later date which will be announced by the family.

Arrangements were provided by West Gate Funeral Home.

Patsy was born on Jan. 20, 1938, in Clarksdale, MS, the daughter of Dorothy Toney Brown and Paul James Brown. She was a graduate of Fayette High School and Draughon’s Business College. Patsy was retired from Dixie Furniture as a bookkeeper where she was affectionately known as “Ms Dixie.” Mrs. Brown’s church affiliations were with Church Hill Methodist Church and Highland Baptist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ellen Smith and Dorothy Calcote (Jim); step-sons, Mark and Kenny Brown; niece, Toni Smith; grandsons, Kyle and Daniel Brown; son-in-law, Greg Couture; adopted family, L.D. Mullins, Brunette Mullins, and Trilla Mullins.

Patsy leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Edwin Eugene “Gene” Brown; two sons, Paul Brown (Glenna) and Jeff Beamon (Yvette); daughters, Lori Isbell (Kenny) and Jeannie Robicheaux (Benji); sister, Tammy Brown; niece, Brenda Smith; nephew, Doyle Smith (Alisa); grandchildren, Amanda Averett, Gregory Couture, Sarah Couture, Marie Hunter, Katie Fish, Morgan Tran (Harri), James Brown, Jessica Stogner (Kevin), 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
